STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Station 12: Second Fall

Psalms 37:1-2, 10-11

Fret not because of the wicked,
be not envious of wrongdoers!
For they will soon fade like the grass,
and wither like the green herb.
Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more,
though you look well at his place, he will not be there,
but the meek shall possess the land,
and delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

I took all of these photos during my daily meditation pilgrimages in various countries around the world. Most of them are a part of a series of stations, some are independent pieces, but all are unique and remarkable works of art. In most cases, the artist is not even attributed. The standard Catholic Stations of the Cross meditation consists of 14 stations, sometimes 15. However, in the course of my pilgrimage, I have discovered that there are several versions of the Stations of the Cross. I have compiled all of the stations that are included in every version I have encountered, which total 23 stations.
